Kline Art Research Associates and Fred R. Kline Gallery announce the preparation
of the GEORGE CALEB BINGHAM Catalogue Raisonné Supplement of Paintings & Drawings,
with additions, corrections, & revisions to E. Maurice Bloch’s pioneering Bingham Catalogues Raisonnés of Paintings and Drawings.
Rachael Cozad Fine Art of Kansas City is the sponsor of the Bingham CRS.
New works & research will be published and exhibited Online at www.GeorgeCalebBingham.org
Future publication of the Bingham CRS is anticipated in conjunction with the reprinting of the Bloch Catalogues Raisonnés
in cooperation with Rachael Cozad Fine Art.
The GCBCRS was founded in 2005 by Bingham specialist and art historian Fred R. Kline with a notable board of art historian advisors to assist in the authentication process.
It was the first online and freely accessible Catalogue Raisonne of an American or European artist.
Dr. Paul Nagel (1926-2011), the esteemed American historian and Bingham biographer, was the founding advisor in 2005.
Since that time, as of June 2015, twenty-three (23) newly located paintings by Bingham have been identified and authenticated and placed in the GCBCRS.
The accepted paintings are reviewed several times a year. The authenticity review of the paintings by the Advisory Board has been consistently upheld and no paintings have been deleted.
If evidence develops giving good cause for deaccession of a painting from the Bingham CRS, then that painting will not vanish but remain listed in the CRS in a questionable category with attached evidence.
New Records: Portraits, Genre, Landscape, Drawings
